Virgin Media fined for Carlisle cable chaos

Virgin Media is facing a £385,000 fine after pleading guilty to seven breaches of street-works safety rules at Carlisle Magistrates' Court.

Jerry McConkey, CEO of JAG(UK) said: "JAG(UK) is working closely with Virgin Media to try and establish sustainable improvement processes for the delivery of their works. Clearly there are still many issues to address and this is a timely reminder to the industry to be ever vigilant at work sites as safety is and must remain our top priority".
